Abstract:

This talk will cover the basics of using the High Performance Computing cluster (HPC) to run computing jobs. It is a great introduction for users new to the HPC or those who wish to brush up on current best-practices and workflows for using the HPC at FSU.

Specifically, this talk will cover:

  • How High Performance Computing works
  • What the Slurm Scheduler is and how to use it
  • Slurm job submission and job management commands
  • How to run compute jobs on the High Performance Computing cluster
  • Research Computing Center Services and Updates
  • More High Performance Computing Resources
