"AI in the Classroom: Transforming Teaching, Learning, and Assessment"

Wednesday, Mar 05, 2025

Abstract:

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping education, from automating grading to enhancing student engagement. In this seminar, we will explore the latest trends in Large Language Models (LLMs) and their impact on academia. Key topics include whether students should use AI, effective strategies for monitoring AI-assisted work, and designing assignments that foster critical thinking. We will also examine AI’s role as a PhD-level research assistant, its use in quiz generation and automated grading, and what the future holds for AI-driven education. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on how to harness AI’s potential while maintaining academic integrity.
