, 499 DSL,

Abstract:

The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) is a U.S. Department of Energy asset that is dedicated to enabling critical scientific, research, and health initiatives of the department and its laboratory system. A major component of this is our efforts towards workforce development, including offering internships and scholarships to top students and researchers at all academic levels (https://orise.orau.gov/stem/internships-fellowships-research-opportunities/ index.html). Currently open opportunities may be viewed through our Opportunity Catalog on Zintellect: https://www.zintellect.com/Catalog. Reflections from past ORISE participants are also available online: https://orise.orau.gov/stem/success-stories/index.html

This talk will describe the types of research opportunities available to current college students (undergraduates and graduate students) and information on how to apply, including tips like how to approach a potential mentor.
