The SC Materials Science group uses high-perfomance computers and algorithms to study a number of different phenomena that are relevant to real materials. These phenomena range from the properties of electrochemical interfaces to models for the nonequilibrium process of magnetization switching in nanoscale ferromagnetic grains and films.
